Virtual Teamwork

Remote work and flexibility – a blessing or a curse? How can teams work together virtually without sacrificing cohesion within the team?

Virtual Teamwork

Virtual teams work jointly at different places around the world. The team members – often with different cultural backgrounds – meet rarely in person; sometimes they only know each other from their computer screens. Even the team leader has often only little face-to-face contact with his or her team members.

What are the success factors of virtual teamwork? How can a “virtual team” achieve results as good a conventional team? How can trust be built within virtual collaboration? How a personal touch eases online communication in the absence of face-to-face contact? How to establish results-oriented collaboration? How to lead and manage a virtual team?

In an in-house training custom-fit to your needs you will enhance your competences in virtual teamwork. Hands-on simulations allow you to experience the organization and facilitation of virtual team meetings. You will be invited to ask questions and share as well as evaluate experience in an interactive exchange with the other participants. Eventually, you will receive most useful tips and tricks from our trainers.

Aim: Make virtual team work a success

The in-house-training “Virtual Teamwork” is designed for managers and members of virtual teams, people in HR and freelancers working off-site. The aim is to better understand dynamics and to learn about mechanisms as well as methods to communicate and make decisions within virtual teams. Allowing you to make the most of virtual teamwork.

From facilitating virtual meetings to leading at distance – training contents ranges from:

  • Building virtual teams: trust, identity and relationships
  • Leading at distance: clear structures in virtual spaces
  • Media use: bridging the distance with technology
  • Managing virtual collaboration: establishing routines and processes
  • Facilitation techniques: successfully facilitating virtual meetings
  • Using diversity: handling diversity within a team
  • Self-reflection and feedback regarding virtual team competences

Based on your requirements are happy to offer an interactive one- or two-day in-house training in either German or English. A brief ex-ante questionnaire will help us to assess your needs beforehand.

You will receive a photo documentation and a certificate of attendance.
