Agile Methods
Agility and self-organisation: godsend or touchy subject? Use the approaches and methods that actually help you move forward.
Agility and self-organisation: godsend or touchy subject? Use the approaches and methods that actually help you move forward.
Increasingly, organisations are seeking new, more flexible ways to collaborate. Agility is a common buzzword in this context – but what it actually means is often quite nebulous. We invite you to take part in a two-day training, to draw your own conclusions and to explore some specific agile applications for yourself. You’ll learn the basic concepts, try out a selection of methods and discuss whether and how these agile approaches translate into your own work context – and what other approaches might be needed.
Our training is designed for employees, managers and decision-makers in organisations who want or should embrace more agile work methods in the future. The purpose of the training is to provide an overview of the key agile methods and an opportunity to test them out directly with hands-on examples. Together, we can then consider if and how agile methods might be useful in your professional situation.
The training is a combination of methods, including brief segments of theoretical input, practical exercises and reflecting in the group. Design Thinking involves transforming ideas into tangible models; Scrum is all about rapid product development cycles; Kanban and OKR are used to promote transparency in planning processes. We try each of them out with practical exercises from realistic professional scenarios. Here it is particularly important to cultivate the agile mindset of openness, transparency and a culture that embraces mistakes – because agile methods on their own do not automatically make a team agile.
This training is conducted as an open course in German language only. If you want to participate, please register here.
Sophia von Bonin and Julian-G. Mehler offer this training together. They have a passion for self-organisation and working creatively. Both trainers have many years of experience in the area of agility, including their own practical experience working for start-ups in Berlin, consulting for small and large organisations, and a broad range of training – not to mention that the two were both closely involved in the internal transformation process at denkmodell.
